In collaboration with GCSA, Rec-IM hosted yesterday the first Scottie Bowl in almost two years. An event missed by last year’s freshmen, the Scottie Bowl is Gordon’s annual Superbowl-like competition between the two best teams in its recreational football league. This year the self-titled “Usual Suspects” faced off against “Anyone Can Cook.” Students enjoyed the game on the sidelines with hot chocolate and apple cider donuts.

When discussing their blowout victory, one of the leaders of the Usual Suspects could not help but compliment his team. “We tried our hearts out,” he said, “Ben Chase is an absolute animal. Ben Richardson is a absolute beast and Skippy Marzetta, aka Lancelyn is a dog.”
The team was ecstatic and posed for a picture with their newly won trophy.

Rec-IM Coordinator Ben House was especially happy with how the event turned out. “I think it was a fantastic collaboration between REC-IM and GCSA,” he said, “The teams were very competitive. It was a tough game. A close one. Really, really hard fought. That made it great to watch and the fans were into it…I’m super thankful for everyone involved that made it happen.”
